Call for Demonstrations

AU Multan ACM-W Celebration 2025 invites engaging and interactive demonstrations showcasing the latest advancements in computing, including AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud and Edge computing, and other emerging technologies. The objective is to raise awareness of new developments in the field and to foster progress in both research and practical applications.

  • the envisioned users;
  • the challenge it proposes to address;
  • the motivation behind the demonstrated concept(s)/ tool/ research prototype/ system.
  • the system and the technology
  • the features and/or methodology it implies for its users; and
  • the application scenarios

Who should submit a demo proposal:

  • Faculty Members
  • Grad Students
  • Industry practitioners

Demo Proposal Submission:

A 1-2 page paper (PDF) describing the proposed demonstration, its application domain, problem scenario, technology, innovations, and interactive elements. Include links to supplementary materials, if any. Specifically, include the following:

  • Title of the demonstration;
  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the team/ individual;
  • The envisioned users;
  • The challenge it proposes to address;
  • The motivation behind the demonstrated concept(s)/ tool/ research prototype/ system;
  • The system and the technology;
  • Features and/or methodology it implies for its users;
  • Application scenarios; and
  • Any specific requirements to deliver the demonstration.

We highly encourage the submission of a demonstration video (of up to 5 minutes, 50MB max. file size) together with your demonstration proposal.

Demo Presentation Formats:

You can present your demo in one of the following formats:

  • Live Demo: Present your demonstration interactively in a lab/room (Duration 30 to 80 minutes).
  • Demo Talk: Deliver a 30-minute presentation (slides and/or video demo) showcasing your demo.

Important Dates

  • Demo proposal due: Feb. 3, 2025 (Monday)
  • Notification of acceptance: Feb. 10, 2025 (Monday)
  • Demo Date: Feb. 25, 2025 (Tuesday)
